Senthilkumar is the Quality Director for BECIS. He has more than 26 years of experience in the quality sector. He is proficient in matters related to project quality, ISO implementation and auditing at onshore and offshore construction, manufacturing, fabrication, marine and oil & gas operations. He has worked with companies such as Van Leeuwen, Intevac, Samco, Keppel and in his recent assignment at Exterran, he took control as a Regional Quality Manager, which covered quality related activities in the APAC region. He holds a master’s degree in Engineering and Management from the University of South Australia (UNISA). He joined us to provide a strong and positive leadership, moreover to promote and adopt the best benchmarked QA/QC practices along with values.
Ms. Diana Leng has over two decades of executive experience within the Banking, Energy & Technology sectors. She has a proven track record in the areas of treasury, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financial markets, and strategic management. Ms. Leng started her career with ING Group in the Netherlands where she gained experience in banking, insurance, and asset management internationally. As CFO of an international offshore drilling company, she was overall in charge of the finance function, capital, and asset management. As a key member of this management team, she insisted on being a hands-on executive who actively balances the demands of operational excellence and financial risk management in the Energy sector. Most recently she was the COO for a pre-launch Digital Health Platform. It was in this role, Diana gained completely new insights and exposures into a new sector of Healthcare, Health-Tech, and Consumer Market behavior. She successfully grew the company from a small Start-Up to a multi-market, independent, Digital platform across the region. She is passionate about education and mentorship and served as Executive Fellow and Fintech series Lecturer for NUS ACE. Diana holds various independent Board Positions and serves as an advisor to several Start-Ups and entrepreneurs. As CFO of BECIS, Diana is responsible for the Finance, HR, Legal and IT functions. In her free time, she enjoys mentoring young professionals, travelling and photography. She considers keeping up with the curiosity of her two young daughters the most rewarding personal challenge to date. Â

John Ku is Director of Asset Management at BECIS. He has 15 years of experience in energy, spanning solar, energy efficiency, and other distributed resources. He has worked for and with organizations such as Samsung C&T, Pacific Gas & Electric, SP Group, and Vestas Asia Pacific. John has experience leading strategic and technology transformation projects, helping companies build new capabilities. John is from the US and has been living in Singapore for the past 6 years.  He holds an MBA from New York University and was a member of the Catherine B. Reynolds Fellowship in Social Entrepreneurship, where he focused on sustainability.
Rajesh is responsible to manage the Group’s ES & HS practices and processes and lead our ES and HS management requirements to ensure a sustainable and safe portfolio. This is a full encompassing role with particular emphasis on both internal and external stakeholder management.Â
Rajesh has over 25 years of experience in EHSS within the pharmaceutical, energy, biotechnology and Media industry backgrounds with companies like GE Power, Novartis, AstraZeneca etc . In his last assignment with Netflix, he covered the APAC region and managed compliance, EHS matters, risk assessments & audits.  He has experience in renewable energy when he was at GE Power, he liaised with global energy leaders and worked on projects related to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, environment, and sustainability on the EHS matters. He was also handling the sustainability reporting and the social impact in his previous role.
Rajesh has Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University, Diploma in workplace safety and health from Singapore and currently pursuing MBA from USA.
Before joining BECIS, Rahul co-founded Sunshot Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in 2010. The company engineered, constructed, and developed on-site solar power plants for large Industrial and Commercial customers and in 2019 became the 3rd largest company in the onsite solar EPC segment in India. In June 2020, Sunshot team was acquired by BECIS. Prior to this Rahul worked with Nokia in sales and marketing.
Rahul has been awarded the ‘Economic Times Young Leaders Award’ and was also featured multiple times as one of India’s 100 Most Powerful Leaders in the Solar Industry.
He completed his graduation in Telecommunication Engineering at R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore followed by his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Jawahar is Managing Director of BECIS Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. He brings over 25 years of experience in the energy & environment space and has extensive knowledge and experience in deploying renewable energy and green energy solutions. Before joining BECIS, he worked with Thermax Limited, a leading global player offering sustainable solutions. He was instrumental in establishing a greenfield manufacturing facility in Indonesia and leading the go-to-market strategies for Southeast Asia in this role.
He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Bharathiar University, India and has completed a general management executive program from the National University of Singapore.
Hally Huang is the General Manager of BECIS for China. He brings over 10 years of expertise in renewable energy project development and investments in his past role of Business Development Director of Symbior Solar and OCI China Co. Ltd. He leads the BECIS China team to help local clients reduce their carbon emissions by offering varied energy solutions. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in China.
TC Kundi is the Founder and Board Member of Berkeley Energy Limited. He has over 25 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. Previously the Head of Engineering for Hanson Quarry Products, Europe, he was responsible for starting the energy division. He is also the ex-CEO of the Energy Division of the Waste Recycling Group (1994 to 2005), and was responsible for building the largest independent renewable energy business with 400+ employees in UK. He has a strong academic background in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration.
Hein was appointed as FMO’s representative to the BECIS board in July 2019. Hein spent 17 years at Unilever in various financial positions, most recently as VP Finance Unilever SEA. During a break in his Unilever career Hein co-founded www.indenpender.nl in 1999 and developed the business to the leading financial comparison site in the Netherlands. After his Unilever career as an advisor he was involved in a number of M&A transactions in Myanmar. In addition he is a member of the Board of Dawn Microfinance Myanmar since 2015 and also holds a Board opposition at Doh Eain (Our Home) Myanmar, a heritage building conservation enterprise since 2018. Hein lives in Bangkok.
Daniel Barry is the CFO of BECIS. With over 25 years of varied experience in financial management, business leadership and corporate strategy in various geographical markets, including UK, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Australia and SE Asia, he heads the financial functions at BECIS including accounting, reporting, audits, corporate finance and shareholder relations. He is the ex Regional Finance Director (SE Asia, Commodities) for Bureau Veritas, Singapore, and the ex Regional Finance Director – EMEAA for UK, UAE, Azerbaijan, Australia, Singapore at Inspectorate International Ltd.
Laurent Petit assumes the substantial responsibility of defining the regional marketing and communication strategy of BECIS spanning multiple countries across Asia, each with a distinct demographic.
A fairly experienced Marketing & Communication professional, Laurent comes with an illustrious experience of 20+ years in the field (including 6 in Asia), wherein he has enabled countless organizations to serve projects and businesses with an international purview. With every designation that he has served, Laurent has proven to be a versatile player on countless occasions, with a knack for understanding the customer, and bringing on a customer-centric mindset within the organisation.
Laurent holds Masters degrees in Marketing, Communication and Advertising from Paris School of Business (ex. ESG Paris).
Ishita Chelliah has over 16 years of technical and management experience as an EHS and ESG professional working both at the client and consultant interface. She has master’s degrees in environmental science and in Industrial Ecology and is a certified Sustainability Professional.
Ishita has previously worked with Arcadis and Golder and comes with a strong ESG system, due diligence, and compliance background. She has worked for a variety of sectors such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, F&B, marine, storage, manufacturing, land development, oil & gas, and Energy globally with a key focus in the Asia Pacific market.
As a seasoned trainer, she is knowledgeable in developing training plans, material and communicating procedures to all levels of the organization and has been instrumental in ESG contract development and evaluation for large projects.
Pedro Valle e Azevedo, is a Board Member of BECIS, having joined the company in July 2020. He is an Investment Director at Siemens Financial Services, with more than 10 years of experience in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Mr Valle e Azevedo has extensive experience in both emerging and developed markets. In his role at Siemens Financial Services, he leads and executes investments in the energy, smart infrastructure, and digital industries. Mr. Valle e Azevedo holds an MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School in London, United Kingdom and an MBA from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) in Germany.
Oscar Hernando Carrillo is a Senior Investment Manager at Siemens Financial Services and has served as a BECIS director since July 2020. Oscar joined Siemens Financial Services in 2019 and works on equity transactions primarily in energy, mobility, and healthcare markets across Europe and South East Asia. Prior to his current role, he worked for over a decade in Mergers & Acquisitions at Siemens Energy. Oscar holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Muenster, Germany.
Arnaud Dauvillier is Managing Director of BECIS China, Malaysia and Thailand. Arnaud’s career in the energy industry spans more than 25 years, with leadership roles in both Europe and Asia. He is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction as well as driving the execution of key strategic priorities and developed Energy as a Service business for BECIS China and Thailand. Prior to BECIS, Arnaud served for more than 10 years in China, as CEO for Adenergy and Tera (JV between Total Eren and Aden), COO & Project Director for Engie China, worked for 10 years in Engie Cofely France and in particular led operations and development for the West region of France for Cofely Engie.
PÃ¥l Helgesen has 15 years of experience with energy investment in developing countries, including serving on boards of many companies. Formerly, he worked with strategy, acquisitions, and business development at DNV, a technical risk management company with operations in more than 100 countries.
Pål holds a Bachelor’s degree (First Class Honors) in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and an MBA from IESE Business School.
Indrajeet is the Group Head of Engineering, Procurement, and Execution. He brings over 13 years of experience in renewable energy and sustainability to this role. Before joining BECIS, Indrajeet co-founded Sunshot Technologies Pte. Ltd. in 2010. Within a decade, it became the 3rd largest onsite solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) player in India before being acquired by BECIS in June 2020. Indrajeet has worked in operations management across the automobile and retail industries. He holds a degree in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad.
Eren Ergin is the CEO of BECIS. He has 20+ years of experience in the energy industry creating innovative sustainable solutions to improve operational performance and efficiency, developing, and implementing digitization strategies and leading business operations. Prior to joining BECIS, he served as Vice President & General Manager of Honeywell’s Renewable Energy business, Founder & Managing Director at Calterra Energy and General Manager at TAS Energy EMEA region. Eren started his career at GE Energy and served in various roles in engineering, project management, business development and sales for GE Energy’s gas turbine products and services businesses. Eren holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.
Oscar is Group Head of Business Development, Sales & Offering Management. He has over 20 years of experience in developing and operating distributed energy solutions across South America, Europe, and Asia. He leads up the development of additive solution offerings as well as drive key account management and group-wide sales coordination activities. Oscar comes from Engie Group where he served as Managing Director of Engie China’s Territory and Industry department. He has an EMBA from INSEAD Business School.
Pallavi has over two decades of experience in HR, aligning people goals with business strategy through pillars of relationships, customer focus, global mobility, and operational excellence. She has varied experience and exposure in different industries spanning energy, manufacturing, FMCG, and others in renowned global organizations. Most recently, she was the Group Head of HR for the Environment (Water and Air Pollution) and International Business for Thermax and brings strong regional HR experience. Â
Pallavi completed her Bachelors in Psychology from Pune University, her post-graduation degree in Industrial Psychology and Personnel Management from University of Pune, and an Executive Program in Leadership & Change Management from XLRI.
Zhi is the General Counsel of BECIS. He is a dual-qualified (Australia and Singapore) corporate lawyer based in Singapore. With a background in leading financing and projects transactions, he focuses on the renewable energy sector, specifically in solar and energy solutions. He has significant experience from working in top-tier international law firms, and experience from advising companies across SEA, North Asia and Australia. Zhi holds a double degree in Law and Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
Jonathan Payne is a Managing Director for Berkeley Energy, with current responsibility for the Asian investments, including BECIS. Jonathan joined Berkeley in 2015 and has worked across several functions covering financial management, operations and asset management. He is a member of the investment committees for Berkeley Energy managed funds of AREF, AREF 2, and REAF II.
Mr. Payne is a Chartered Management accountant with over 20+ years’ experience of driving performance in operating businesses. He has extensive experience in M&A activity, financial control, reporting, process and operational improvement, strategic planning, system implementation, and building strong teams. Mr. Payne has held senior finance roles in both the UK and Australia, including as Financial Controller for WRG developing the renewable energy business with TC Kundi. Mr. Payne was also part of the ultimate spin-off of that business into Infinis Plc and helped shape the continued growth.
Mark is an investment professional with experience from a wide range of equity and debt transactions, focused on renewables in emerging markets. He has led Norfund’s energy portfolio since joining the organization in 2006. During this time, he has executed a strategy to diversify the portfolio through additional partnerships, new technologies and geographical expansion, including an increase in African investments. Mark has recruited and led a team of 25 professionals at Norfund, and is a member of the management team and investment committee. He also leads the work of the Norwegian Climate Fund for Renewable Energy, managed by Norfund. He has held various directorships of power companies in emerging markets. Prior to joining Norfund, Mark worked as a consultant focused on the energy sector. Mark holds a PhD from the University of Sussex.
Hannu Ikävalko is the Bioenergy Chief Operating Officer of BECIS. Prior to joining BECIS, Hannu co-founded Tasma Bioenergy, a company that delivers sustainable biomass-based energy to industrial clients in Southeast Asia, which was acquired by BECIS. He brings over 20 years of experience in biomass, pulp and paper businesses and has held senior operational roles across corporate development, finance, sales, and supply chain management. He holds a Master of Science from the Helsinki University of Technology in Finland, and a Master of Business Administration (with Honours) from the IE Business School in Spain.
Alex Chien is the General Manager of BECIS in Malaysia and Thailand. He has worked in Cleantech Solar, ABB Group, Schneider Electric and Siemens holding managerial and key account servicing roles in the industrial sector. Alex has over 15 years of experience in sales, business planning & development, and project planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in Malaysia.

Kunal Mehta is a Managing Director in Berkeley Energy, having joined the business in 2016. He established BECIS for Berkeley Energy as a dedicated distributed energy solutions and services business and served as the founding CEO till January 2022. He is now a director of the business and has acted as the director on the boards of various portfolios companies including in Singapore, India, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Kenya and Ghana as well as an investment committee member. With 15+ years of experience, prior roles have spanned Siemens Financial Services, Earth Capital Partners, Man Group and Climate Change Capital with a primary focus on clean energy as both a investor and advisor. He has an MSc in Environmental Change and Management (Oxford University), MSc in Finance (London Business School) and a Bachelors in Environmental Studies (University of Adelaide).
Martin is the Managing Director of BECIS Philippines and Malaysia. He brings over 15 years of experience in product development, operations, project management and after-sales service for wind power and solar technology in various roles across South East Asia.
Before joining BECIS, Martin held transformative leadership roles in Siemens Gamesa, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Project Site Execution for the Wind Turbine Resource Hub in the Philippines. In this role, he delivered world-class services in wind turbine installation and commission for local and international Siemens wind projects, the first of its kind in South East Asia. He has also worked in Vestas specialising in R&D and project management.
Martin is a highly accomplished technical leader who has trained and studied at the Oberstufenzentrum Energietechnik, Bewag AG in Berlin, Singapore Institute of Management, and the Institute of Project Management in Washington DC.
Mr. Brown has 20 years’ experience in investment, corporate finance and advisory work, across equity and debt transactions, with experience of operating across SE Asia, India, China, Korea, the Middle East, North Africa and throughout Europe.
Before joining Berkeley Energy in 2012, he worked with Climate Change Capital, responsible for managing and executing investments in the Indian and SE Asia regions, and prior to that had experience working in corporate finance at a private equity advisory boutique, and at KPMG. His technology investment experience includes wind, hydro, solar, biomass, waste management, industrial energy efficiency and hybrid solutions.
Kris Sasitharan is Group Head of HR of BECIS. With over 20 years’ HR experience in markets across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Kris is responsible for managing the HR function across BECIS’ markets. Kris has previously held HR leadership roles in organisations such as Standard Chartered, Deutsche Bank, Quintet Private Bank and Renaissance Capital. Prior to joining BECIS, Kris ran his own HR consulting firm in Singapore. Kris has an MBA from Singapore Management University.
Saku Rantanen is one of the pioneers in the Asian bioenergy industry with a background in bioenergy and waste to energy. Since 2010 he has served as a CEO in two companies and prior to that heading a bioenergy consulting business in the Asia Pacific for a global engineering and consulting company. He has a Master of Science Degree from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland.
Florian Bennhold is the CEO of the BECIS-Symbior Joint-Venture. Prior to this role he was in charge of business development for Symbior Solar, a solar PV project developer focused on Asia’s frontier solar PV markets with over 100MW of assets under operation and a significant pipeline of projects under development in Thailand, China, Philippines, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Prior to this role, he led Symbior’s energy venture incubator. He has previously co-founded and led business development for a renewable energy consultancy firm in the United States and Asia. Florian holds Masters degrees in Engineering Sciences from TU Berlin and École Centrale Paris, and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Snigdha Nahar is General Counsel of BECIS. She has ~11 years of work experience with 5 years spent working as a corporate and commercial counsel within BECIS and Berkeley Energy where she was involved with every aspect of the business including fund-raising, PPAs, construction contracts, M&A and financing activities. She previously practiced in UK magic circle law firms (Clfford Chance and Allen and Overy) based in London and Singapore. She is dual qualified in UK and India and has a MBA degree from National University of Singapore and a LLB degree from National University of Juridical Sciences in India.
Jorrit Dingemans is a director at BECIS. He brings over 20 years of experience in renewable energy, project finance and equity investing in emerging markets. He started his career as a wind- and bionmass energy project developer in Dutch utility ENECO. He then switched to FMO and working in emerging markets providing loans in Latin America and structuring project finance transactions in Africa. For the last 6 years he has been heading the fund and corporate investment team for Asia and Eastern Europe in FMO’s private equity department.
Chayasak Itthisiri is the General Manager and Director of BECIS Thailand. He has over 13 years of experience in industrial sales and business development working in the United States and Thailand.
Before joining BECIS, he was the Vice President of Solar C&I (Commercial and Industrial) at Symbior Solar where he was responsible for Solar PV development over 100 MW in both Utility and C&I markets.
Chayasak started his career in the construction business and has unique experience in the renewable energy and waste management industry. He is passionate about building a green & sustainable community and ensuring quality and equality in educational opportunities.
Chayasak holds a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from Kasetsart University in Bangkok, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois in Chicago
Rob is the General Manager of BECIS in Vietnam. He brings over 17 years of experience in the renewables field with leadership roles across Asia and Europe.
In 2004, he founded Ecosphere Renewables, a UK based company that offered solar and renewable solutions in Europe and Asia. He became the General Manager of Vietnam Solar Power Joint Stock Company (SPUC) in 2017, a joint venture between Ecosphere Renewables and Dragon Capital.
SPUC was one of the first companies in Vietnam to offer commercial, industrial, and institutional (C&I) solar solutions and was acquired by BECIS in 2021.
Rob started his career working for Citibank and has had experience working across London, Milan, and Frankfurt.
He holds a first-class degree in Business and Economics from the University of Westminster in London.
Neil Allen is the Country Manager for BECIS in Cambodia. He brings close to 15 years of knowledge and expertise in various technologies such as biogas, biomass, waste to energy, and combined heat and power solutions. Prior to joining BECIS, Neil was the General Manager of Operations at SUEZ Asia, where he completed the operations management, build-up and successful handover of the first waste to energy plant in Thailand. Neil has extensive experience in the energy sector across service and electrical engineering roles working with Kantor Energy, Veolia Energy and EON among others. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Teeside University in the United Kingdom.
Dennis is the General Manager of BECIS in the Philippines and is responsible for the business development of renewable energy solutions and operations locally. His international career spans the semiconductor, solar and electronics manufacturing industries across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Prior to joining BECIS, Dennis held transformative leadership roles which drove business and operational performance for American Microsystems Inc, Maxim, Enfinity and Amertron in the Philippines; Integrated Display Technologies and Johnson Electric in China, Thailand, and its overseas factories; and various client turnarounds with the Thomas Group management company globally.
He began his career with Philips Electronics in Silicon Valley, California and subsequently held technical leadership positions in New Mexico, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Rice University in Houston, Texas
