Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation and BECIS Sign a 20-year Onsite Solar Service Agreement

On July 05 2022, BECIS – Commercial Industrial Solutions Philippines and India Managing Director Rahul Dasari, General Manager ​Dennis Chan Ibarra​, Business Development Manager Margaret Honrado ​, Senior Project Manager Robert Fothergill and Business Development Support Ruth Butalid made a courtesy visit to Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPFPC) at their Feedmill in Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines. CPFPC and BECIS signed in June a 20-year Onsite Solar Service Agreement for a 3.10 MWp grid-tied onsite solar project for selected poultry and swine farms of CPFPC in Luzon, Philippines. As a long term sustainability partner, BECIS will invest in the project and take full responsibility of the permitting, engineering, procurement, installation and asset management. The system will be synchronized to the grid and will displace at least 23% of CPFPC’s grid supply. The project implementation carefully considers the stringent biosecurity measures of CPFPC to ensure that there will be no disruption in their operations. This project supports CPFPC’s mission to be a leading player in the agriculture and food industry in the Philippines through committed sustainable business practices that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. During the term, the project will offset a total of 48,452 tons equivalent of carbon dioxide emissions which is equivalent to the efforts of planting 799,467 tree seedlings.
