On July 24th, BECIS Indonesia proudly took part in preserving our coastal ecosystems through a mangrove planting initiative. We planted 500 mangrove trees (Rhizophora Mucronata) along the east coast of Surabaya, East Java – Indonesia, as part of our CSR program: “500 Mangrove Trees for Our Future.”

This initiative aligns with SDG 15: Life on Land, aiming to restore coastal ecosystems, protect marine biodiversity, and build climate resilience. Each tree planted is a symbol of our ongoing commitment to a better, greener future.

This meaningful activity is more than just planting trees — it’s about restoring biodiversity, protecting shorelines, and empowering local communities.
Mangroves play a critical role in combating climate change, as they absorb carbon emissions and serve as nurseries for marine life.

A big thank you to all participants for joining hands with us.
Let’s continue to grow together — for people, planet, and purpose. 🌍💚
