Continental Temic Electronics (Phils.) Inc. and BECIS Philippines signed a 15 year Energy Management Contract in May 2023 for a long term supply of clean energy with a grid tied onsite solar solution on two buildings of the Continental Calamba, Laguna Philippines. This marks the fifth project of BECIS for Continental in Asia.
BECIS Group CEO Eren Ergin, Managing Director for Philippines Rahul Dasari and General Manager Dennis Ibarra visited Continental Calamba’s General Manager, Mr. Peter Rankl, Head of Purchasing Ms. Mary Anne Garcia, and Head of Central Engineering and IT, Mr. Bemeer Barredo. Both parties expressed strong support and cooperation for sustainable energy solutions like Onsite Solar, Cooling Solutions etc for Continental Temic.
BECIS is setting up a 2MW Onsite Solar power plant which will displace 35% of daytime grid supply for Continental. A total of 37,400 tons equivalent of Carbon Dioxide will be offset for the lifetime of the solar equipment.
