🎗️ June 21, 2025, marks the 25th World ALS Awareness Day!
On June 17, invited by the Tian Shan Road Community, Hally (Chunle) Huang, Managing Director of BECIS – Energy as a Service China along with Randy Wang, Senior Project Manager, and Elaine Yun, EHS Manager, participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge at Jin Hongqiao Center Plaza. They also contributed to “ALS care packages,” spreading strength, hope, and awareness.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)—often referred to as “the frozen disease”—is a rare and currently incurable neurodegenerative condition. As it progresses, it leads to muscle weakness and paralysis, making the body feel as if it is freezing.
The Ice Bucket Challenge, which went viral in 2014, helped people around the world empathize with ALS patients by briefly simulating the feeling of being frozen—while raising vital awareness and support for ALS research.
At BECIS China, we remain deeply committed to corporate social responsibility and to giving back to the communities we serve. We will continue to support charitable initiatives and promote the spirit of compassion and care.
