Dole – Philippines – Solar.

Three new onsite solar projects in the Philippines after the one in Thailand. Dole moves closer to achieving the "Dole's Promise".

Need

Dole Philippines wants to achieve Zero CO2 emissions in 2030 by switching to renewable energy supply. They aim to support the industry’s growth within their local community without damaging the environment and aim to be a positive influence among their industry peers towards sustainable practices.

Challenges

The high cost of investment in developing a solar power plant is the primary challenge. Some of the structures of Dole Philippines were old. It was uncertain whether the project will compromise the building’s integrity.

Solution

Partnering with BECIS through a Build-Operate-Transfer model enabled the customer to implement this project with zero capex. The Due diligence process of BECIS is meticulous and includes a professional structural analysis.
